Jennifer Parker has been with Tara Treatment Center since 1997. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University–Indianapolis the same year and soon played an instrumental role in launching Tara’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). She provided outpatient care for ten years before becoming Program Coordinator at the Women’s Residential Facility, where she continued to provide direct clinical services for nearly two decades.
In 2018, Jennifer was promoted to Director of Clinical Operations, overseeing all clinical programming across Tara’s residential and outpatient services. She is a Licensed Addictions Counselor, an Advanced Certified Relapse Prevention Specialist trained through Terrence Gorski’s Relapse Prevention School, and a Certified Team Building Instructor.
Jennifer’s clinical philosophy is grounded in Gestalt Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care, approaches that foster empowerment, emotional awareness, and holistic healing. She completed two years of advanced training in Gestalt Therapy at the Indianapolis Gestalt Institute and continues to integrate these principles into her clinical leadership and staff development.
An active advocate for addiction recovery and prevention, Jennifer has contributed to numerous community and professional initiatives, including Drug Free Johnson County and the Johnson County Step Ahead Council, promoting compassionate, evidence-based approaches to treatment and recovery.
