Deidra McCartney, MBA
Director of Financial Services
Deidre McCartney has served Tara Treatment Center for more than a decade and currently holds the role of Director of Financial Services. She began her career at Tara in billing, where she developed a strong appreciation for the role financial access plays in supporting individuals and families affected by substance use disorders.
Deidre holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Business Administration. This combined clinical and business background has shaped her client-centered systems-focused approach to leadership. In her current role, she oversees billing, admissions coordination, financial planning, and revenue cycle management, with a focus on operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and removing barriers to care.
She works closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure financial practices align with Tara’s mission, balancing transparency, compassion, and responsible stewardship. Her leadership has contributed to improved processes and stronger financial outcomes across the organization.
Beyond Tara, Deidre is an active board member of the Alex & Ali Foundation; supporting inclusive community programming focused on mental health, belonging, and vocational engagement for intellectually disabled individuals. She is also a participant in the Leadership Johnson County Class of 2026, where she continues to develop her skills in collaborative leadership and community impact.
