Deidre McCartney has been an integral part of Tara Treatment Center for over 10 years, bringing a deep commitment to the organization's mission and the clients it serves. She began her career at Tara as a billing representative, where she quickly recognized the importance of financial accessibility in supporting individuals and families affected by substance use disorders. Driven by a passion for helping others and a desire to grow professionally, Deidre pursued higher education, earning her Associate’s Degree in Addiction Science in 2018 and a Master’s in Business Administration in 2020.
Through her education and hands-on experience, Deidre developed a strong foundation in business operations, which allowed her to take on increasing responsibility within the organization. She now serves as Tara’s Director of Financial Services, where she oversees all aspects of billing, admissions coordination, financial planning, and revenue cycle management. Her leadership has been instrumental in streamlining processes, improving financial outcomes, and ensuring that clients receive the support they need without unnecessary barriers.
Deidre believes that financial transparency and compassion go hand in hand when serving those in recovery. She works closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure services remain client-centered and mission-driven, advocating for sustainable practices that balance quality care with responsible stewardship.
In addition to her role at Tara, Deidre continues to prioritize her professional growth and leadership development. She is proud to be a participant in the upcoming Leadership Johnson County program, where she will collaborate with other emerging leaders to further develop her skills in organizational leadership, community engagement, and strategic decision-making.
